Sorry for being a little unclear there. Yes, I was using the latest SVN versions of ULiB and ULX (I've been away and just got back now). Anyway, I haven't really made any serious effort to solve the problem on my own, I just compensated for it by installing SPP and then I had to go for a few days.

Botman, if you haven't already, see Megiddo's previous post to yours. He mentions a possible Gmod bug, and wishes to test/determine/maybe hack around it (we're used to doing that).

I'm having a couple problems with UPS,
First off, I am using SVN everything, on a Linux server.

Megiddo, on page 26 I noticed you adressed this issue already, which is changes not saving between map changes/ restarts, but you said you had code to manually save those changes, was this code ever implemented? It would be very handy.

The second issue is Admins are not able to clean up props fromt he admin pannel, only I am (super admin). Was it written to be this way or am I perhaps doing something wrong?
My admin group is not named "admin", using UTeam, but on that note, neither is my super admin group named "super admin" so I don't think that would do it.

Any ideas? Thanks.

We haven't implemented those changes yet, no, but the framework to do it is all in place. I'm working to wrap up some issues in ULX and ULib in the next few days, and then I should be able to work on UPS cvar saving after that (but no promises).

Use the following command in console:
Code: [Select]
ulx groupallow your_group_name "ups miscDeletionAccess"
Where "your_group_name" is the name of the group (not team! group name as defined in groups.txt) you want to give access.

Thanks for such a lucid, forthright help request. It seems I can hardly ever address someone's request without asking them more questions about what they want. ;)

I'm no Lua coder, but I do websites and know computers in general. I get tons of help requests and feel your pain  ;)

Instant cvar saving got added to UPS SVN last night. The new UPS will be officially released along with the new ULib, ULX, and XGUI. Hopefully sometime within the month...

Awesome cant wait!
I would like to just say that I have been having issues with UPS not allowing any admin overrides. I like to allow buttons/ vehicles across the whole server so that people don't need to mess with adding friends etc for simple things like "use my trap". But it keeps working then not working, I'm assuming its going in and out with every time I update my SVN, but I can't be positive about that.

This is just a heads up for your future release.

I have a picture of that bug I was talking to you about.  He cannot pick up his props.  We cannot clean his props.

Yes, it is sniper10's props.

After the resent Gmod updates I have been getting the same problem as...

Do you still have this problem after Garry cleared up the API issues?

It was the same with me.  It only happened to a few people when I was hosting my server.
