I have removed urestrict from my server until this problem is fixed.     - That doesn't help me at all. I need errors.

Urestrict
« Reply #452 on: September 29, 2009, 08:58:49 PM »
I'm running the current svn versions of ulib and ulx, however, when I attempt to install URestrict on my dedicated server (Run through lowpings) it doesn't really work. When the player spawns, they have no weapons whatsoever, including admins (I'm going to assume this is the default setting). As a superadmin, i have tried to access the console command for the gui but have only gotten a return message saying that the command was unrecognized. I looked through the console on my initial spawn and was greeted with this error message.

Ulib/modules/urestrict.lua:267: attempt to index field 'cmds' (a nil value)

Any help would be appreciated

What revision of ULib are you using?

I have this exact same problem. I just got URestrict from the SNV today, Rev 29. (And I have ULX v3.40 and ULib v2.30)
"ULib/modules/urestrict.lua:267: attempt to index field 'cmds' (a nil value)"
No weapons, no tools, can't even spawn anything.

You need ULib SVN.

For the time being, you'll have to do some wire tools manually in the data/urestrict files. For some reason wiremod doesn't follow the rules.

I have this on my darkrp server, and I have a glitch with it. As soon as someone spawns, this error appears -

ULib/modules/urestrict.lua:267: attempt to index field 'cmds' (a nil value)

It causes players to spawn without weapons. How do I fix this?

ULib/modules/urestrict.lua:267: attempt to index field 'cmds' (a nil value)

Run latest SVN of ULib.
That error sounds like you aren't.
The official release version (v2.3) and below of ULib, URestrict isn't compatible with

-Control what weapons/swept users are allowed to use based on what group they're in. Usage include spawning, picking up, and spawning with.

How do you go about doing that?

Is there a way to disable loadouts, because if you Exclude a group from it, they can use weapons that have been defined admin only in the .lua code of the weapon (eg. Admin Gun from CSS Realistic Weapons)

     - Yes, but you bring up a good point. Even if you disable the loadouts, it'll override the admin only weapons. I'll work on a fix asap.
