ULX not applying admin

hello i got a gmod server and i'm using ulx admin i tried adding myself as admin but it keeps saying i am not authorised to use this command is there any way this can be fixed or can i be given a proper command in which will work for me

Have you read ulx_readme.txt?
Sounds like you're trying to run the command to add yourself from a game console, not a listen server or dedicated console.

All, Marksman was kind enough to send a private message, apparently one of the three things I mentioned help him get access.
This is a common question, which is why we've added it to our Frequently asked Questions area.

Can anyone think of a nice way to make these steps more clear?
I'd guess that one of every five questions we get is because people didn't see/understand/know where to look.
We'd really appreciate constructive ideas.
Even though we have the steps linked to in our readme file, and in our FAQs section, and even have ULX tell users "you must read usermanagementhelp" first.... many seem to miss it.
Any constructive ideas?

I grow frustrated at times linking to the above same steps.
(Even more frustrated when people say they've followed them, but know they haven't because one) They don't yet have access and following all of them will get you access 95% of the time or 2) one step has a lie detector as one of it's steps)
