Hi there, Hope everyones day is going swell....I recently bought a gmod server, deathrun to be exact and have been having too many problems setting up fastDL with my server....Resorting to ULX fastDL i searched up what to do and how to set it up but i dont quite understand it all....and it still doesnt want to work...
The situation is as followed:
1. I installed a ton of model addons into my server addons folder, aswell as this, i took each addon and extracted to the root of gmod...each addon of course has its respective folders ie... in my Creepy woody addon folder there are 3 folders models materials and lua, i took all of these folders and put them into my gmod root.
I hope i did this correctly...2. The next step i did was go to my data/ulx/downlaods.txt file and put a test instance in there. As followed
; You can add forced downloads here. Add as many as you want, one file or
; folder per line. You can also add these to your map- or game-specific files.
; You can add a folder to add all files inside that folder recursively.
; Any line starting with ';' is a comment and WILL NOT be processed!!!
; Examples:
;sound/cheeseman.mp3 <-- Adds the file 'cheeseman.mp3' under the sound folder
;sound/my_music <-- Adds all files within the my_music folder, inside the sound folder
models/
materials/
lua/
I put models/ materials/ and lua/ thinking it would force my clients to download everything in those folders.
I have a feeling i formatted the downloads.txt wrong, Please, please PLEASE help me asap as I have to set these for VIP donators, whove already donated =/

EDIT: if you could also perhaps go through the steps YOU would take to add a model to your server, this would be great as I could use it as a template to follow each time I need to add an addon.
