Stool deny by group

Hey guys.

As some of you guys know, I've been messing with setting up a private server for when me and other HWG guys want to play space build.

We are planning on opening it to the public at certain times to get mroe players and for stress test on the server so I'm trying to prepare for that.

What I need to be able to do is something that was decribed in this thread

I have the VMF-Suite installed and I want to limit its use to certain groups or "teams".  In otherwords I want to block everyone from using the Loader, selecter, ect and then whitelist a few people or certain teams to use it (like admins and HWG members)

Right now I have the UTeams plugin setup for 4 teams, Superadmins, Admins, Operators, and Guest (Default?) and public users would be the lowest ranking in quest, and anyone in the top 3 teams would have access to restricted STOOLs.

Basicly what I'm trying to do is the same as what you are doing on the Ulysses server, just that instead of donator group, it would be a HWG member group.

This is on a seperate note, but 2 things that I seem to be having issues with as well.

#1.  When I do the Adduser thing for someone, it finishes with no errors, echos back that such and such has been added to group X.... but yet it never actualy puts them in that group.  Not ever after a restart.

#2. How exactly do I find the name of a stool that I need to deny use to... Like when I was testing SS, in order to block the VFM spawner, I had to block spawner.lua or something... When I put in VMF-Suite Spawner, it had no idea what I was refering to.

About adduser, are you running on a LAN?

For the name of the stool, it's the folder name under /entities/weapons/gmod_tool/stools/

And as far as what we're doing on the server, it's just "ulx tooldeny". It only lets admins use the stool from then on. We're planning in implementing a way to allow group access to stools soon.

We'd be happy to give you SVN access if you'll help us test it (we put notices out for SVN users to test something, they try it out trying to break/exploit it within a few days of the notice).

Get the latest VMF Suite. You can add admins and you can set access flags for each vmf. It's a lot better than denying the tool all together. This plus the future group access would be the way to go.

My server in on my private network, but it is a internet server with the rest of the HWG guys accessing it through the net.

I really would like a ulx tooldenygroup type command for UTeams or something similar.

And for SVN, yes, I would be willing to help you test.  I have SVN on the server for other stuff, why not one more.... plus you know how I likes to sploit... lol
