i have downloaded dark rp and light rp but i am unaware of how to set them up using ulx & ulib

As long as they are derived from Sandbox, both ULib and ULX should "just work".

If they aren't, its very likely certain portions won't work. (Prop limits, etc)

sv_defaultgamemode in your config. Might have to change map on server start to get it to recognize it.
