Zakap's sig, and other thoughts Transiberian Orchestra

Zakap, love the new sig.

I just went and saw Transiberian Orchestra for the first time tonight. Had no idea a few members of the group are from my hometown.
I have to say.. they blew me away. I had no idea just how much I would like the show. The only song I'd ever heard was one of thier many instrumentals from any number of Christmas videos at youtube.
http://youtube.com/results?search_query=transiberian%20orchestra%20christmas%20lights&search=Search&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&spell=1
(I have no idea how many, if any, of those are actually not video edits and are actually synchronized to the music realtime.)

Words can't describe just how much I liked the show. I'm elclectic about what music I like. I'm extremely picky about 'metal' (sorry to all you metal lovers out there, but hey, its usually one of my least favorite).

If you EVER have a chance to go, please do. Even if you don't like all the music, the light show is amazing.
They even mentioned the Ohio christmas light guy 'on the internet', and then said... we think we can do better.
From there, the show got even better.

Yeah, those houses started as just one, and now seeing that youtube link, seem to have multiplied quite a bit.

Are you going to give it a shot on you house this year there Jammin? Could use a couple x10 sockets and the computer and just enter the timings.  ;D

But yeah.. I've heard a lot of great things about them, and if they are ever in my area I'll certainly make sure I look into getting tickets.

Doing some reading about them on Wikipedia, found that one of the main guys is from a group called Savatage.
My wife is more into hard rock than I am, and knew some of thier stuff. I've been sampling some of it, and like it more than 'thrash metal' bands from the 80s and 90s.
They use a piano... that just amazes me. Rock + piano = Good!

Will, Nope. Not decorating this year. We won't be here to enjoy it. From Dec 6 to 16 we're out of town.
Though, I did find out what the guy from Mason, Ohio used to do his, seems much better than x10. :)
