i need help with adding admins ASAP

I need help becoming a super admin and admin i just want to be those so me and my friend can use our admin weapons  on our private internet server. So please help me...

At first, I was going to ignore this post.
However, I'm not going to ignore it.

First, I'm going to say use you're brain.
Second, I'm going to suggest how you use it by suggesting the following...
Third, ULX includes a ULX_README.TXT file which points to a tutorial describing how to add admins to Garry's mod, no matter what admin mod you use.
Fourth, That question has been asked hundreds of times in both this forum and on Facepunch Gmod forums... if you used the Search function of either site, I'm sure you could find the answer.
Fifth; We answer that question in this forums FAQs thread. (See also point four above)
Sixth; Somewhere on this site we even have a video (see # 4 again)
Seven; bah, if you can't find your answer by using step one and two, then I'm sure we can't help you. There are probably more that I've forgotten, but I'm 100% sure if you follow the tutorial mentioned in third point, you'll get admin access.

hey guys , i got a question on this topic. ok i added users in game easy no prob but they dont stay i have to redo it every once and a while. also i tried adding myself to the user text just changed the name and steam left everything else alone it didnt work. only way i can add users is through in game console using the adduser command. ty for any help offered.

If you didn't remove those from the example Gmod admin settings/user.txt file , Gmod is ignoring them (and our admin mod).
Garry only has himself listed as an example. He wasn't mean enough to leave it uncommented.

Are your actual admins losing access? Or are you just looking somewhere expecting to see the access they have and it isn't there?

lol im dumb but not that dumb  , no i removed the comments its kinda weird, i took out the comments and switched garrys info with my own. is there more than one user text file? this garrymod server is so much diff than what im used to.

ok it did it again, since my text file doesnt work I have to add admins through console using ulx adduser..... and after a map change or something sometimes the admin stops working. so i try to re add them in console and they type !menu then nothing comes up. but thanks for you guys fast response and help you dont know how hard it is to find good help. so far every question ive had you guys got answers. Thanks Alot!

I don't have much idea as to why your records are only temporary.
Any idea if your server is writing to /data/ULib/users.txt ? (This is the file adduser, and our import from settings/users.txt, writes to)

Perhaps you've somehow managed to corrupt your settings/users.txt file (missing quote or bracket, etc)
So everytime the map changes/server restarts, our ULX imports corrupt data, therefore breaking all the other admins?

well i got it working i contacted the server where i rent and they looked into and fixed it. ty for your help.

Great! Did they say what they did? We have/know several admins out there use host servers. Knowing what was accomplished might help if we see this symptom again.
