Ulysses home server -- no more!
« on: May 03, 2006, 08:06:52 AM »
Alright guys, sorry to say this, but H²-=NooB=- decided that he would no longer be generous and has retracted his offer to host our server.

His excuse for doing so is a claim that I got him banned from facepunch forums. He claimed that if I could prove that I didn't, he'd give it back. Obviously, it's impossible to prove that you did not do something. ( Can you prove that you've never stolen something in your life? This trick is called shifting the burden of evidence. You have to prove that something did happen, not that it didn't happen. )

Unfortunately, I had a feeling it would turn out this way from the beginning. I should have gone through with hosting my own and avoided the whole ordeal.

On a side note, I'll be in Texas for the rest of this week.

Perhaps he didn't click the link for the ban reason?

Yes, he claims that I gave the link to his forums out and someone found that.

In truth, I went to bed shortly after he gave me that link and was doing homework when he gave it to me, so I never even had time to talk to anyone about it, even if I had wanted to ( run on sentence, yay! ).

Alright, H²-=NooB=- apologized. He offered to host the server again, but I turned him down ( for obvious reasons ).

Don't take this as a flame, but does ULX really need a home server?

It hurts me a bit to read that but ya i was (maybe) wrong. I am not sure about anything of that. It's not beed "ok" to "leak" GMod9.1b003 but well you guys can get it everywhere thought. I just got it from FileFront (LOL). So why calling me the bad guy?

And my forums? Ark3r's forums. He made me post it there. He told out i posted it there, i got banned and being hated. So don't whine either about that crap ok?

@Megiddo: You revoked so nevermind.

On the other hand try to get in my situation about that. Not to complain about anything. But still it's the most worse thing to use Facepunch. I presume to be never going there again.

And i have a friend with a goldaccount so PSST i don't care.

Regards,
Noob

Yep, I've been in the same boat as you many times, and a lot of times regarding to Megiddo as well. (No offense.)

I got banned for thanking some one for some information

Have a look >> www.piggy-ph.net/Banned.JPG  <<

Pretty pathetic to be honest I was thanking someone for posting in my thread
I think the face punch staff don’t have enough rules to follow they seem to ban if there in the mood for banning..

Hi Jinx, (hehe, hijinks, play on words)
1) Please don't post replies that have nothing to do with the original subject.
2) Please don't swear. I'm not sure what Megiddo would do about it, but it doesn't make one seem 'cool'
3) And, please don't spam just to spam, _especially_ when #1 applies.

If you're working on a cool lua, especially in regards to ULib/ULX, feel free to mention you wrote one in "General:General Discussion" and perhaps mention your server there, but an outright 'hey, join my server, its awesome (oh, and I have a script)' announcement isn't appreciated.

Thanks!
