Warning: Unhandled Usermessage -- A thing of the past?
« on: July 01, 2008, 04:03:42 PM »
Howdy all,

Thought I'd pass along an exciting SVN update! I was finally able to recreate the umsg bug you all have been asking about, and this bug should hopefully now be a thing of the past. Please let us know if you're still receiving this! :)

This should fix the problem of UPS not loading sometimes as well.

Excellent.
So, admittedly, was it us, or 'him'?

I hate to admit it, but both our fault and garry's fault. Garry changed the behavior of how PlayerInitialSpawn worked so it was called before they were ready to accept umsgs (I think he did this the same time he added RunConsoleCommand), but we should have resolved this issue sooner. Still, I'm fairly certain this is the reason NWVars aren't replicated on join (as they should be and originally were), so garry apparently hasn't gotten around to fixing things yet either. :P
