New server, New problems
« on: December 09, 2008, 04:07:58 AM »
Hello, I have 2 garry's mod servers at this moment

One is the 16 slot (the older one)
and the other is the 14 slot (my new one)

Well I copied all the addons from 16 slot to 14 slot server, and restarted, they did not work 100% so I copied them over again and finally it starts working
I do have 1 problem however, my users in UTime are all set to 0 minutes, the team for people is not right, and the sui scoreboard is not showing the teams

I copied everything from the data folder to the new 14 slot server
is there any thing else I need to move over to get it to be EXACLTY the same?

I want my 16 slot server on my 14 slot so I can get rid of my 16 slot,

Thank You
//Craig

There are several SQLite database files somewhere in the gmod folders.
I've found two in my dev server <gmod>/ root folder. One's called cl.db and one is called sv.db
I believe UTime uses sqlite to store its times, but, I don't remember if those files are used, or if copying from one to another server would work.
Just make sure to BACKUP your new .db files before trying to overwrite them.

Megiddo and a few other members around here could probably assist more. I don't know if copying one database file (such as sv) would work on a new server/new IP.
There may be unique information regarding one server from another that wouldn't transfer.

Copying the DB should be fine. GMod stores very little information in there by default, so it's mainly third party junk you need to worry about.
