Ulx Problems
« on: May 03, 2009, 08:27:07 AM »
I ave installed ULX and Ulib on my server and followed the readme in attempt to add myself to the admins.  After i tried to add myself i went on the server and it allowed me to type ulx help on the console but then when i went for other commands i was denied so i changed a setting in the groups section restart.  THis time i have no access whatsoever.  I go in to look at the groups folder and its all messed up with word and command lines everywhere.  I have been trying to fix it for like 3 hours but am having no luck please help ?? :-\ :-\ :-\

Shut down server.
Delete the gmod/data/ULib/groups.txt and misc_registered.txt file.
Do not ever edit addons/ULib/data/ULib/groups.txt file. If you did, delete that file, re-install ULib.
Restart server.
After the above, see Having Trouble with access? from our FAQs forum if still having trouble.
Sounds as though you didn't add yourself to the gmod/settings/users.txt file correctly.

Are you using SVN? Or the release from our downloads?
The release has several known issues. We hope to have the SVN in a release soon, but don't have much time to work on it, and people keep posting errors we know about in the release.
