Add wire to ulx menu.
« on: November 02, 2009, 03:50:16 AM »
I saw the old thread but its so old i thought i should start a new one. I would like to know where to start about adding wire to ULX admin menu, I haven't a clue. If someone could give me a working link to one that's compatible with the newest version of ULX I would be very happy.  Though teaching me through steam or something would be better as i would learn how to do it.

Over the next few months, XGUI is going to be incorporated into ULX.
I'd start looking there at how the sbox_max items page in it are loaded.
From there, you could start by adding an additional page for wire items.
We're not going to include it into the primary pages by default.
An extra page, sure, but not directly.

Yes, but, Stickly Man would probable be best to answer technically.
I know he's writing in modularity (for instance, being able to add in extra pages for such things as wire limits), but I'm not sure how close he is, and Megiddo with him with the cooperative integration, to having a steady enough code base that won't change however many times (possibly breaking your work) before it's released.
