When i type ulx adduser wayne superadmin 1, it says its an invalid command and then when I type ulx help, this comes up -

Code: [Select]
Results:
ULX Help:
If a command can take multiple targets, it will usually let you use the keywords '*' for target
all, '^' to target yourself, '@' for target your picker, and '%' for targetting groups. IE,
ulx slap %user slaps all players who are in the default guest access group. Any of these keywords
can be preceded by '!' to negate it. IE, ulx slap !^ slaps everyone but you.
You can also separate multiple target by commas. IE, ulx slap bob, jeff, henry.
All commands must be preceded by "ulx ", ie "ulx slap"

If that's from server console, something is broken.
You should have a ton more commands.
Make sure you're running it from server console if not.

adduser superadmin can only be run from rcon or server console the first time for a non-superadmin
Also, you can't use '1' for immunity anymore. See the Immunity how to in the SVN area.

The help files in ULX haven't been rewritten to show the new immunity system.
Actually, the group and user access commands don't show anywhere near as much as they can do now in ulx help.

Looks like you've got a pretty messed up version there. Clear out ulx and ulib completely and reinstall. Do you have it installed on your client too?

Reinstalled ulx and ulib (svn highest revision) and I've still got this problem. I have a few ulx plugins installed, they might be causing this.. they are ULX Explode, UNolimit, umm, that's it.

Any module errors at server startup?
UnoLimit, either version (v1 or v2) shouldn't affect any access at all.
Which "version" of ULX Explode? Though not a full release version, I've updated it to work with the SVN command system. See the last page or two of the ULX explode thread in Releases.
I can't imagine the script itself breaking something this bad. Perhaps if you're using the first version MrPresident actually made, it errors on load, and causes other ULX modules not to?
If not using the version I updated, try without it.

Start from scratch to test.
Power down server
Backup (so you have the information to recreate) your gmod/data/ULib folder.
Then delete
/gmod/addons/ULX and ULib
/gmod/data/ULib and ULX
Make sure you're at least superadmin in /settings/users.txt as our readme and FAQ links point to.
Re-install from SVN.

I deleted ulx explode, rebooted the server, and it still only has those commands. Gonna try deleting unolimit now.

I deleted unolimit too. It's still happening. I think the SVN might be screwing it up.. I'm going to have to switch to the non-svn version if you don't have a fix. I recently had ASSmod on the server.. that might've done something.

I don't have much time, my server has been open for nearly one month and its still not open due to glitches, and I need help. I don't want to havw wasted about 80 bucks for a server thats not even open yet. Sorry that I'm a bit.. impatient, but, you can probably see why I am.

Are you getting errors in the console on startup?

Are you getting errors in the console on startup?

There isn't anyway I could check. For one thing, I'm on a computer with garry's mod not installed (laptop) and in my servers gamepanel, there isn't a way to see a live console, there's only a spot to put in commands, and it will only spit out the results of the command you typed in.

I still need help. Does unolimit work with the non-svn version of ulx? if it does, then i don't need you to finish helping me.

As stated in the release post for UnoLimit, v1.x will work with non-svn.
2.x requires SVN
ULX Explode also has two versions, one in the first post is for non-svn.
On the last or second to last page, I converted it for SVN version.
I still really don't think either one is causing your access issue.

Without you being able to tell us server console errors at startup of server or when commands are run, it's near impossible to troubleshoot.
I recommend you research using HLSW to monitor, or Google how to turn on Source server console logging.
Your host's FAQs/support site may even have instructions for doing so.

Also, while connected, run a ulx debuginfo from server console. It will create a file in your server/gmod/data/ulx ... post that file here please.

ulx debuginfo doesn't do anything, remember, all the commands are broken.

Are you running debuginfo from server console?

If you are, and the file isn't going to the server's /data/ulx folder, and you not able to see or get to your console for errors..we can't help you.
Find out how to log the console of the server.
Anytime you have a problem with a script, whether it be ULX or any other addon...the server console will show important errors.
