« on: January 16, 2010, 01:34:22 AM »

All my server files are updated to the latest or SVN as you guys call it.

I today was cleaning my stuff up by pressing z alot and almost as clean with 2 props remaining my server crashes for no reason.

I have this time recieved a MDMP file and i have gotten a debugdump as well so basically i need someone to figure out this problem for me

Thanks.

Buggzie, are you having errors with ULX? Are you getting ULib or ULX errors in console immediately before a crash?

I get nothing. Not an error nothing at all. Someone joins BAM my server crashes
and please don't get started with that overloaded lua i have 737 lua scripts running. Not 800 not 1000 but 737. I'm getting sick of that overload crap.

Anyways as you see in my addons. I really didnt add SPP etc to the addons folder. I actually added it to the garrysmod folder. For download purposes or whatever it works fine but yeh.

No, what I was going to say is, welcome to Gmod dedicated server hosting.
Gmod is inherently unstable. Google has 19500 articles related to crash or unstable... and worse yet, many articles in first page of results telling people how to take advantage of that instability.
Though yes, the more lua you add, the less stable it is, it's unstable even without addons.
If you're experiencing ULX issues, we can help you. That's why we wrote our debuginfo dump function.

We'd have no idea how the Gmod mdmp debug code pointers would relate to the source pointers within Gmod.
Only Garry can know that.

Ok well, I'm reinstalling my server tonight

Degrading ulx to 3.40 as 3.50 Immunity SUCKS, plus
Ulx 3.40 is much more stabler, Good luck working on 3.50 When you release the full version i'll update

But for now i forgot to put my addons in the addons folder instead i put them in the garrysmod server so its hard to manage them.
Thanks for your help, and i will hopefully fix this :)

3.40 is stable because it's the stable version. Don't say we didn't warn you!

I'm actually wary of Wire mod myself.
I love it's capabilities, but I believe it to have many tool authors with very little oversight.
Don't quote me on that, I've not researched. I do remember one NON wire team release made for Wire causing problems with ULX. The release was just poorly written. WireMod Extras or something like that.
With our team, Megiddo is very particular about what gets added and even more so how.
For some groups I could see that being an issue.. for ours it works out well. We bounce ideas off each other...find good solid middle grounds.

Though I doubt the server will crash any less for you using 3.4, at least that version does have it's server.ini settings working.
(forceddownloads doesn't, if I remember correctly though)

Degraded to ULX 3.40 & ULIB 2.30 Now my server is so stable
I uped the FPS max to 3000 now im getting 600 - 700 fps avarage
Uped the tickrate to 66
Removed drug mod
Re-edited Nuke Pack to fix bugs etc

Now my server is running the smoothest its ever been since i bought it

Spammed 700 Massive Containers to crash the server and failed epicly the server stood like iron man.

I too get frequent crashes while using ulx SVN. I guess that's the price of getting the new features before they're out though eh

SVN uses Gmod's datastream features. We've seen reports of it causing issues (delayed response to commands, having to have the same command typed multiple times, etc).
I'm betting it's not so much ULib as it is just datastream being unstable.
We'll research more to make sure of course.

Believe it or not. I have crashed "0" times on the server. Not even once

I've have LUA errors but thats the max and lag when spammed props

But my server is standing up stronger than before ULX 3.40 FTW

If it helps sometimes when it crashes it turns the server "off" in my control panel for the hosted server. So the only way to get it back up is to go start it again. I have confirmed that it does not do this with ulx 3.4 or ulib 2.3
