Access Problems

Ok so I can't access most of my admin commands and menus and etc., I've tried following both the FAQ one and another topic from a user who had the same problem, I'm using the SVN of ULX. I've found the admin menu that controls prop, entities, ragdolls, etc. amount as well as all talk and noclip and such still works but none of the other menus do. Whenever I try to run client console commands most of them are met with Unauthed user lua errors. I've also tried adding myself using the server console, and of corse by adding myself in the Users.txt file (tried doing both at same time, and one or the other).

Your debug information looks good. What commands are you having trouble with in particular? Any errors on the server during startup or command usage?

ULX menu command and the admin powers and such, and besides the unauthed user error thing, nothing (also i think i tried ulx debug info in game to check soemthing and it said that was restricted.

So you can't use the "ulx menu" command? When you type that in your client console, what does it say? Copy and paste from the point you entered it into console to where you get a message back.

I ran the code and well, nothing happened. There was no change in anything and nothing appeared in the console.

Okay, what's happening here is that your client isn't receiving the ULib data it needs to function properly. If you make other people superadmins on your server, do they have the same problem?

I do not know, I have not tried that yet. One thing I have found that if I run the console version of the commands (Ex. ULX Jail <player name>) does work yet I still get the error code I mentioned earlier, though the menus still won't work.

sorry for double posting. Ok recently I unistalled ULX and ULib and reinstalled it to see if i could get it working, I also added someone to the admin list, but now nothing is working. I used server console to add my friend and it worked fine, but now none of the ULX commands respond, I type in ulx menu and nothing happens not even the error, ulx help still nothing.

It still sounds like your client isn't receiving data properly. Does your friend have the same problem?

yes he said he couldn't get any of the commands he tried to respond

Try removing all other addons except for ulx and ulib on your server and remove ALL addons from your client and see if you still have the same problem. Let us know either way. You can remove addons by just moving the folders for the addons somewhere else temporarily.

Unfortunately not, move them to another folder or make a new folder under addons named 'tmp' (or whatever you want) and move the addon folders there.
