MOTD issues
« on: November 08, 2010, 10:46:06 AM »
I'm fairly new to running servers (just started learning and setting mine up last night, in fact). Just wanted to state that first.
I'm testing a TTT server in gmod, and my problem is that the cstrike motd overrides the ULX motd. Is this an issue, or should i just put the motd file i wrote in to replace the cstrike file?

You can change the "motdfile" cvar to point at whatever file you'd like.

Additionally, that cvar is common to Source, not ULX itself.

However, Megiddo, I thought we attempt to set that at ULX initialization?

It's set in the config, but if they're carrying over configs from previous versions they're not going to have it. :(
