I cant make myself an admin to my server!

How do I log onto the server as the admin or owner? I am trying to use ulx. I followed the tutorial for adding yourself as admin: ulx adduser Verzerrung superadmin
It says I do not have access to that command. So I rejoin like a few of the forum posts say to, and absolutely nothing changes. How is this even suppose to work? the tutorials never say ANYTHING about any sort of passwords, what is to stop someone from coming in and typing that command on my server and giving themselves access? How does the system know I am the owner trying to gain access to my own server? But apparently it does not.

I am probably missing something really obvious but I can not seam to figure out how to set some things up

You're supposed to run that command on the SERVER console, not the client console. If you have access to the server console, then you have permission to at least promote yourself to superadmin.

How do i get to the server console then? I thought hitting that "~" key brought up the right command window.

If you're running the server as a separate process on your computer, you use that process to access the server console. If you're using a professional hosting company, how you get to the console depends on the particular company you're using. For us to help further we'd need more details on how you're hosting the garry's mod server.

Go to your control panel and look for something labeled console, then make yourself an admin from there.

And, just so we're clear, because you seem to be new to server hosting, when Megiddo says Control Panel, we don't mean your Windows Control Panel.
We mean the tool your Xenon hosting pages usually calls a Control panel.

I think it's called TCAdmin (The control panel).  You go to "Server Administrator" or something in that area with Xenon.  Type the command in there.
