I'd hate to ask, but I must be missing something, I can't seem to find where I get the ULX_AFK folder anywhere.

If someone could help me, that'd be great.

It's the attached file in the main post.

ULX_AFK.zip

Make sure that when you extract it, it stays in a folder called ULX_AFK. Inside that folder should be the addon.txt file along with a couple of folders.

Wow, I tried it out, and it was better than I expected to be. I do have a couple suggestions though, I don't know how hard this would be, but would it be possible to code it so it ignore's certain groups? say if I wanted to make my own group called: cool guys, but they don't inherit from admin, so they're not immune to anti-AFK. But if I went into the lua folder, and changed a few things, such as: groups this affects, and say "cool guys" when I would save it, it will no longer affect that group.

My second suggestion is; you could put something in where it does ignore admins, and after a set of time it will give them the tag of AFK, but the auto-kick will ignore them. Say if there's a server full, and I need to kick an AFK for a friend/server owner. there could be an AFK admin/moderator, but since they're immune to anti-AFK I can't tell if he's AFK or not. if you were to do the above, then we could easily tell if ANYONE on the server is AFK, and if we really needed to, we would kick an admin/moderator for someone else.

That's all I have for now. If I have any other suggestions, I'll post them here.

I know this thread is kind of old, but would it be possible to add a chat command that would allow you to set your self afk? Like !afk.

I also seem to be having trouble with exempting admins from the auto-kick. For some reason it doesn't seem to recognize them as admins and so it kicks them even when ulx_afk_ignoreadmins is set to 1.

How are your admins defined in ULX? This only ignores players who register on IsAdmin(). So this would be: superadmin, admin, and any other group that inherits admin.

There isn't a chat command for this. All this addon does is monitor a player and auto detect if they're afk.

I feel silly. I found where the problem was, apparently it was part of another plugin I thought I'd removed.

What if you already have ULX do you put it in the ulx folder or just the addon folder?

It's an addon, goes in addons folder.
(Good tip - if when you open a release zip file, and there is an addon.txt file inside the first folder of the zip...good chances are it's an addon.)

Hi Guys

This is giving me errors (in single player, but its when I start, nothing loads up to do with this at all). Im not sure if it still works or not though, (nothing to test it on in SP). No access to gmod for me atm, so if you need the console errors I can get in a few days.

EDIT:
This was the errors in the console.
