gagging and gimping

I'm using this special "re-skin" for my chatbox, but It seems I cannot gag people... I would assume it's because of the chatbox, but idk. Would any of you know how to fix this?

Gagging is a voice chat function. Are you sure you're not confusing it with mute?
As for gimping, it might be the chatbox, but I don't know. :P

sorry, I used to play on a server where they switched them up and its really annoying now. lol, yeah i meant mute

Yes, it would be due to the chatbox and how it is intercepting chats.
