Help the GDster.
« on: February 10, 2007, 09:25:33 PM »
Our English teacher is making us send each other valentines for some odd reason, so I'm designing mine.

I think it's too busy, or keeps drawing your attention up and down the card, which gives you a massive headache.

Helpz.

Though the background is a nice touch, light blue S curve with dark fade, I think its a major part of what is causing the 'up down' look.

Suggestion, may not work, have the lighter blue line that's now making the 'S' curve through the card make 2 'V's?
If you could see the entire non-clipped portion of the Vs (which you wouldn't), you'd see a much larger heart.

This heart that would form the Vs doesn't have to be same shape as the one you can fully see.

I'm not sure the red fade works well either.

Here's an extremely sloppy draft of my idea, but using white to show what I had in mind. You could have the V's come to anywhere you wanted, and in from anywhere top/sides

Turned out a lot darker when I printed it, but I like it.

Why'd you print so many when you have no friends?

(Just kidding, you know I'm not that mean.)

Hey, printing/giving out so many means nothing.

Now when he doesn't receive any, well, that's another story.

(Just joking, and I am that mean) :P

They are for his imaginary friends... You know... the ones from the fronts of cereal boxes.

GD, band geeks don't count. Misery loves company, but you can't count them all as friends.
Just watch if you had to compete with any of them for (front row/1st chair/whatever position applies to (chorus/band/whatever))

And GD, you also said that this was an assignment for your english class... therefore, they are your classmates; you can't count all of them as your friends.

Epic fails.

A.) Those aren't all band people. Only 8 of those are in band.

B.) They aren't all in my english class. Only 10 are.

Only in my mind!

And I thought "Help the GDster" was the topic to help with the card.
To think, all this time, expecting free therapy.

Ah well, you get what you pay for!
