Can admins make themselves superadmins?

Lets say I am in admin group could I make myself a superadmin?

If so how do you disable this?

By default, they should not be able to do this.  If you have given them the wrong permission or they know the right exploit in gmod, it is entirely possible though.

As Aaron mentioned, the default settings don't grant "admin" groups UserManagement commands which would grant them perms to change levels for users.

Another way would be through RCON. If they have the RCON password for the server, they'd be able to access high-level commands without actually being a high-level rank.

I don't know much about the exploits since I don't pay attention to that, but I haven't had any problems yet. But then again, I choose my staff very carefully.

Just don't be one of those guys who put their RCON password in their server.cfg. There's a LOT of exploits to get those. It's highly recommended to put your RCON password into your startup line like so:

+rcon_password "yourpassword"

idk what that means. i don't have it set in my server.cfg tho. I just set it through my control panel. and I use it for quick configs cuz im always in game doing on the fly to test out perms

I'm pretty sure that puts it in the command line, so you should be fine.

Depends on the provider. NFO used to store it in the configs—fortunately that's been fixed.

OP, just make sure admins don't have access to user management commands, or that they're limited with restrictions.
