I need help. i downloaded the files and put them into the addons folder but it screws my server up and i cant get on it and when i do download the files do i have to edit any or move any besides the addons folder. Please help

Inside the addons/ulx folder, if you installed it correctly, is a ulx_readme.txt file.
I suggest you read it, it has your answers both about installation and a link for how to add access.

Also, we have a FAQ area of the forums that will answer your questions.

I've never seen ULX prevent someone from joining thier own server.
Not saying it's not possible, but I've never seen it and am doubtful it's any of our doing.

You've not given an error or more detail as to why... and therefore I can't go further.

ULX reports Admin Console is repeatedly changing the map.
This is most likely somewhere in a cfg file.

Sounds/looks like a bad configuration.
What have you edited?

the host name and the rcon pass word and i put a welcome message and the // Please, if you have any compassion at all, leave this one in.

oh and when i take th ulib file out of the addons folder it works

Do you see the "ulx map RP_DownTown_V2 DarkRP" in your config? Take that out and it'll stop looping endlessly.

If you want to change to that map, just type "ulx map rp_downtown_v2" in your console. If you want to start on that map, add "+map rp_downtown_v2" to the shortcut you use to start srcds.
