Votemap quick menu?
« on: March 19, 2010, 05:54:47 PM »
Like every other map voting thing.. have a window that pops up with the maps...

Like you type

!votemap

A window with the map names comes up.. you click on whatever map you want.. and it votes for that...

---

I was just saying this .. because the whole...
1)!votemap
2)Check console
3)!votemap <id>

That is a little inconvient... Idk what you people could do.. but it would be nice to have a much more user friendly votemap..

Why don't you try using XGUI? It has a tab that allows both nonadmins and admins alike to view and vote for maps:

That's an outdated picture, but that maps page hasn't changed much.

(Note that it IS a work in progress, and that you should check for updates frequently.. Like, hopefully later tonight)

I was not aware about  XGUI that is I think would be better to use as the both admin and non-admin is allowed. It will be very easy to use for vote map. You had given a very good suggestion  I really like that.

I somehow missed this, or perhaps didn't want to rain on Xgui.

Instead of complicated opening multiple windows, just open console, ulx v<use autocomplete to select votemap after typing v> hit enter, <see list>, ulx v<autocomplete> <id>, close console.
Poof. Only opened one extra window. the word votemap would autocomplete, so you wouldn't even have to type much of it.
