Ranks resetting on crash

Hi, I am having quite a serious issue with both of my DarkRP servers.

Both are 80 slot, each running on there own dedicated server, they are storing around 300 different users each (admin | vip | goldvip | superadmin | moderator) and ranks are randomly resetting, the problem mostly happens after crash/lag (DDoS attacks). It's almost like it reads part of the users.txt file but not the rest. If I re-add them to the group it will still show them as user until I remove them then re-add them.. Again making me think the data is there but isn't being loaded.

I am using latest SVN version of ULiB & ULX.

Any errors in console? How large (in KB) is your users file?

This sounds very much like the conflict Fadmin causes. Fight of the dual admin mods. Both lose.
Try removing Fadmin. See if that fixes it.

Sorry for the late reply.

My users.txt file is 20,480 bytes.
FAdmin is not enabled and never has been. (due to the conflicts)

20k is a medium size, but I wouldn't thnk a decent powered server should have trouble parsing it.
It's always possible.

And:
Any errors in console?
Server or client.

When you say resetting, does the access come back if the player who got 'reset' rejoins?

Sorry for the late reply, no the players access does not return.

This is becoming a massive issue now and I really do not know what is causing it..

It is now also completely random when ranks are resetting, sometimes it happens when you leave normall, server crashes, map changes ect.. Some days 0 people lose there rank, some days 1, some days 30.

Just curious, are you using any sort of sourcebans integration with ULX? Otherwise, could you send us your debuginfo.txt file? (Run ulx debuginfo on your SERVER console, then there should be a debuginfo.txt file created in your server's data folder)

Yes please share your debuginfo.txt file. I've heard of this from only one person ever, I mean EVER! So I am very curious what could be causing this.

They are an api, a donate script and a module I had created to get more traffic to my steam page.

API was only added around 2 days ago, the donate and group script are being used globally and so is the sourcebans module and this is only occurring on my DarkRP servers.

I've seen this on another server recently. It only happens when you rejoin, map switch. The console displays no errors, and it pretends as if the user doesn't exist, so it appears to overwrite users actual usergroup.

This may be off topic  but, I've noticed recently for some odd reason that if I attempt to get the ply:Team() on playerinitialspawn, it WILL NOT WORK at all. So what I ended up doing to get around it was put a ONE second simple timer on, and that fixed it for some reason. Maybe that might be wants happens to ulx not sure though.

Unless I'm mistaken, I've seen some sourcebans integration modules handle syncing of users across servers, and that may be causing the ranks to reset. But, this is mostly speculation. :P

When sourcebans was mentioned above I cheered and thought "YES! that could be the problem" then I quickly realized that I am also using the sourcebans module on my TTT servers and they have never had the issue that is happening on my DarkRP servers.

Have you tried watching the console around the time you notice resets and checking for errors?

I have tried but as said above, the rank loss happens at awkward times where it is difficult to watch the console, it is also very random. I do have every possible logging system enabled and I still haven't saw any errors regarding ULX.
